“The lay faithful ought to be ever more convinced of the special meaning that their commitment to the apostolate takes on in their parish.” St. John Paul II
Members of the Pastoral and Finance Council are generally nominated by fellow Parishioners for a term of three years. After accepting the nomination, members meet approximately 5 times a year to discuss Parish Operations and to consult with the Pastor and Staff on matters relating to Parish Life. Several “Teams” are formed from these groups to concentrate on specific areas such as Parish Events, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Liturgical Life, etc.
Through the “Vincent’s Hands” program, our Parish provides direct support to individuals and families in need. Assistance can be provided with a variety of items such as groceries, rent, utilities, and the like. Any Parishioner who wishes to assist financially is encouraged to make their donation either by using the collection boxes around the Church or by making a direct contribution to the Parish Office or in the Offertory marked as: “Vincent’s Hands”. Those in need of assistance are encouraged to call our hotline and leave a message including your name, contact information, and whatever assistance you are requesting, and someone will return your call: 215-357-3517.
